Recovery Notes: A Forum for Disease Experience Stories
I built a place where people can share what it was actually like to go through an illness — not the clinical summary, but the real experience.
Visit it here: recovery-notes--recoverynotes-9b3e5.us-central1.hosted.app
Who it's for
People who are newly diagnosed, worried about a symptom, or trying to figure out which hospital department to go to. When you're sick and confused, reading someone else's honest account of the same thing can be more useful than a medical article.
What it does
Users post their personal experience with an illness or condition — what symptoms they had, which hospital division they ended up in, how the process went. Other sufferers can browse by condition and get a clearer picture of what to expect before they even walk into a hospital.
It's not medical advice. It's something better: real stories from real people who've been through it.
Why I made it
Hospital systems can be hard to navigate when you're not well. You might not know whether your problem belongs in internal medicine, neurology, or somewhere else entirely. A doctor's directory doesn't tell you that. But someone who had the same symptoms and went through the same confusion can.
What's next
The site is live and open for submissions. If you've had a health experience worth sharing — good, bad, or just informative — consider posting it. The more stories there are, the more useful it becomes for everyone.
